Events for October
Having had a truly 'Humming' Stroud Fringe Festival, we are now looking forward to some exciting gigs over the next two months!
First and foremost, the wonderful Red Dog Theatre are back with a new show, Lorca's ''The House of Bernarda Alba'', his last and arguably greatest play,
in a new translation by Kate Littlewood. Directed by Sue Colverd (who also directed last year's rivetting 'One Flea Spare'), this Spanish family tragedy of Bernarda Alba's five daughters co-incides with the 75th anniversary of the Poet & author's death.

Tues Sept 27th to Sat October 8th at 19.30. Tickets are available online at www.reddog.org.uk
or from the cafe. ( You can purchase tickets over the phone, but we recommend calling outside of our busy lunch period (12.00-14.30)
Cost is £13.00/ conc £11.00
The Cafe will be open for drinks and refreshments before each show from 7pm. Also after the shows from Friday & Saturday.
OCTOBER
We've had our 'Indian Summer' (and what a treat it was!) and now look forward to some heart-warming evenings and afternoon! with great music and delicious food.
Friday 14th October: at 8pm
Part of the 'Lorca in England' festival, and fresh from the Cheltenham festival of Literature, Poets Pablo Medina & Mark Statman will be reading from their own works.
This is a free event with Tapas and wine on sale at the cafe, celebrating Lorca's genious!

Boxcar Aldous Huxley an itinerant blend of Klezmer, Balkan and Folk, this unique band from Bristol promise to have us all grinning at their 30's costumes and tapping to their multi-instrumental tunes.
(euphonium, saw, clarinet, drums, Banjo and Sax1 Not to mention the Vocals)
