Our food is inspired by macrobiotic and wholefood cuisine, having trained at the Concord Institute.
We offer a changing menu of seasonal, fresh and innovative food including breads, pastries and cakes made daily on the premises.
We use organic ingredients wherever possible and endeavour to source from local businesses.
Our menu is predominantly vegetarian with the occasional fish dish, and we always cater for vegan and gluten-free diets.
In the summer season we get our salads and vegetables from Stroud Community Agriculture and Stroud Slad Farm, as well as edible marigold, chive and nasturtium flowers. Throughout the year we source all our vegetables from Global Organic Markets.
We bake all our cakes, cookies and croissants from scratch without using any refined sugar and we bake our sourdough bread daily.
We are proud to serve artisan coffee from local speciality roasters Extract and by trained baristas. Appearing in the South West Coffee Guide, we recommend you come try our delicious coffee.
We also serve Canton Teas. Extremely high quality teas, seasonally sourced and specially selected. We have a range of green, herbal and black teas.
We regularly play host to a wide range of events including live music, drama productions, poetry readings, art exhibitions, story telling, and coffee tasting, just to mention a few.
The lively atmosphere of the café offers a warm welcome with friendly service both in our bright, open space and our sunny courtyard outside.
